TRON's SUN.io platform is introducing a multifunctional governance token, the new SUN token, which will grant token holders voting and governance rights, staking rewards and value capture. To accommodate this, SUN will undergo a token redenomination and platform upgrade starting from May 26, 2021, with old SUN tokens redenominated at a ratio of 1:1000. The total supply of SUN tokens will increase from 19.9 million to 19.9 billion, while the market cap remains unchanged. SUN.io will also introduce a new service: decentralized stablecoin swap. The project aims to lower barriers to entry and facilitate the growth of the SUN ecosystem.
