Ren (REN) is an open protocol that aims to improve interoperability and liquidity between various blockchain platforms by removing hurdles involved in liquidity between blockchains. RenVM, the network of virtual computers that makes up a virtual machine, allows DeFi projects to bring foreign cryptocurrency assets to their offerings and enables users to swap any token between any two blockchains without middle steps. The protocol's native token, REN, functions as a bond for those running nodes which power RenVM, known as Darknodes.REN is freely tradable, has a fixed supply cap of 1 billion, and has a presence on major exchanges such as Binance and Huobi Global.
