In the meantime, thank you to @PatrickMcHenry &amp; @CongressmanGT for their engagement on a good faith (and urgent) v1 of this bill.

6/ I’m doubling down on policy efforts right now and hoping to play a small part in ensuring we survive as an industry in the U.S.

More details to come, but being close to the ground, and working in good faith with policymakers who get it is a critical piece of that strategy.

5/ We have a window of opportunity to get a few wins on the board in DC, including a stablecoin bill and, hopefully with today’s news, a market structure bill.

I’m committed to helping work constructively on anything that helps crypto. A win for one is a win for all.

4/ Third, this appears to exempt stablecoins from SEC oversight, and would provide a streamlined path for crypto's top American exchanges and custodians to have clear regulatory reporting structures.

3/ Second, there is at least an attempt in this bill to operationalize the "Hinman test" or what constitutes "sufficient decentralization" of a crypto project.

This would likely mean significant SEC oversight, but could also open the door to something like a Safe Harbor.

2/ First, this is a v1, not a final product.

There is still a LOT of work to do to get to a viable piece of legislation, but this is a good starting point for a sensible market structure bill, and it delineates where authority might lie between the SEC and CFTC.
